Your Google profile, domain, and reviews stay yours.  Even if you leave us.

Some marketing companies set things up in their own name.  When you leave, the profile or the domain can stay with them.  We set it all up in yours.

Owner and manager are not the same

A Google profile has only one primary owner.  Owners can add or remove people and delete the profile.  Managers can't add or remove people, and only the primary owner can hand over ownership. [1]

The domain belongs to whoever registered it

The registrant is the person who holds the rights to a domain name.  ICANN, the group that runs domain names, warns that whoever registered it for you may be the official registrant of record. [2] It also advises against listing your web designer or host as the registrant. [3]

Worth asking any marketing company

Do

  • Whose name is the Google profile owner?
  • Whose name is the domain registered in?
  • What do I keep if I cancel?

Never

  • A profile where they're the owner and you're not
  • A domain in their name
  • A contract that holds the site until you pay a fee
